When I first signed up for Brightside, I wasn't able to get out of bed and was overwhelmed by the amount of things I knew I should be doing but just couldn't find the motivation. I was sleeping too much or not at all. I wasn't eating. I was shutting out my family and my friends because I didn't want to burden them. I have a history of anxiety and depression, but it had never gotten so bad that I couldn't see a way out. I had lost my job in the pandemic, moved back in with my parents, been dumped by my boyfriend and had a falling out with my brother that caused significant damage to the rest of my family. Now, I've started a new job that I love and have been impressing my superiors with my performance. I moved to a new city into my own apartment, and I exercise every day. I feel more motivated to do the things I was putting off before, keeping up on laundry and cleaning and showering. I don't dread waking up in the morning and I have a solid sleep schedule. I feel so much better and I am so grateful that I reached out for help.
