I was already on CityFibre 900 with a rival provider (Giganet) so transfer was straightforward - no engineer's visit required - but a series of emails from Brillband kept me up to date on progress.
One niggle. Brillband informed me that my old service would end dead on midnight and they would take over before midday. As my existing contract was paid up to 6 June, I nominated 7 June for the transition. In the event, Giganet continued their supply till nearly 02:15 and officially ceased operation only at 18:00, though Brillband had connected around 09:00. In consequence I was obliged to pay Giganet (or rather their successors, Cuckoo) for an extra day. Predictable enough with hindsight, but it could perhaps have been better explained.
Brillband provided a different model of the Amazon eero 6 router from Giganet's and I have to say that, judging from online speed tests, its transmission over Wi-Fi seem to be inferior. In practice there is no appreciable difference in performance.
