Shocking!! Left them for gas in march 2023 when i was on prepayment meters. They sent me a £4 bill, that I assumed was an error due to being on prepayment. Heard nothing further until I changed my electricity over and queried a £62 bill and received refunds on both accounts for a total of £75. Thought this was the end....it wasn't!! In December 2023 I recieved a debt collector solicitor letter asking me to pay £32....the £4 bill for gas and £28 fees. I refused and had to make yet another complaint to British Gas pointing out I was refunded and if I owed them £4 they should have deducted this before sending me the final amount. I think this is now sorted, but this was the last of around 6 complaints I had to make to British gas in my time with them...avoid like the plague!
