I ordered a suit and was told the jacket would arrive within 48 hours, but the trousers would take two weeks due to an “alteration.” Strangely, both arrived together — which makes me doubt whether any alteration was ever carried out. Brook Taverner charged me extra for this so-called alteration, something most retailers would include free of charge. If they continue to apply this charge to other customers for stock items, that would be highly unethical and shows a serious lack of transparency. What makes this worse is that they heavily promote their “amazing” 90-day no-quibble return policy — yet they fail to be upfront about extra costs like this, which completely undermines the spirit of that promise. This experience has left me with no confidence in their business practices. I will not purchase from Brook Taverner again and would strongly advise others to be cautious
