Faulty doors!!!!My children and I locked in our house and having to climb over the garage to enter the house due to a faulty 800.00 front door,which I had been told by their own technician who finally came a week later that the door had a manufacturing default and is bowed,they now are denying this ,luckily I have proof and am pursuing this legally,I have never known such lies within a company,this door we had trouble from the start ,first of all all the parts were missing this was resolved a week later having have to turn away my fitters ,then the door fitted when I could finally reschedule but could not be adjusted as the keeps were latching on the keys were bending in the lock due to not being correct ,I phoned BSO as we were being locked in and out constantly,someone tried to fob me off and as really rude and Un sympathetic with it takes time as they have to go back to the manufacturer,2 days later no returned call my 14year old boy was having to climbover our garage to get through the back still no phone call back,the last straw myself and my two youngest children could not get out of the house for work and school,I was in tears at this point and had to get someone to come and force it open and my children in tears too ,I called again at this exact point in time to be told it would be sorted as I was so distressed ,I was then told this door was brought through 2 other companies before BSO sold it to me (but would not take responsibility for it)I was supposed to wait as not their problem and I would have to wait a week before their technician could come and look,I could not believe this was happening ,constant phone calls I had to make as there seemed to be no urgency and now the lies,I had no choice but to wait for a technician of theirs they told me so then it would be resolved once someone had been out and I requested I would not keep this door due to it being unsafe whatever happened in the meantime my builder had to tape the door so we could access it at least,although my eldest son could not,the technicians came ,they moved the jeep and changed the lock with new keys,l as they informed me these were not correct and they could not get it to the correct standard and then when checked with the spirit level informed me the door was bowed and that there was a manufacturing defect ,they secured the door but said they would fill out the report as a defect door and that my the children would have difficulty as they gave me the option of having to pull the door to be able to open it or have a stiff turn to be able to,neither options were great but I had no choice(I knew that they were trying to see if it could be fixed as not to pay out although I told them all along it is not correct as my fitters informed me from the beginning, BSO told me until the report came back to them there was nothing they could do ,by this time the door had needed a crow bar to open it,this was the Tuesday they came out and I kept chasing customer services,the following Thursday over a week later I finally received an email not even a call from the head of customer services who kept telling me she was on my side and it was awful but she soon changed to when it came down to keeping the companies money.l,but I was hopeful as surely the technicians rating the door was defect it would have to be resolved and replaced,The report stated that the door was not defect and that they just think I just want a new door.the door was accessible and they would only offer me a delivery reimbursement of 35.00!as a goodwill gesture!!!! This whole experience has made my children and I feel awful,I cannot believe the lies that have been made here and this is not the whole story,the manufacturer LPD said I had cancelled the technicians to come as I was so angry for the wait but I did not ,I had a feeling that this was going to be trouble so luckily I have evidence that the technicians told me the door had a manufacturing defect and I feel so strongly about how they have treated me and my children I am currently seeking to take this to a small claims court amongst social media and any other way that I can prevent this happening to other families and all the point in need a safe and secure non faulty door for my children ,over 1000 pounds with fitting is a lot of money to me and the door and I am left with is unsafe and not fit for purpose,that is without the stress this has deeply caused,please do not purchase from these people where no one will accept the responsibility out of three companies, LPD,BSO and Excalibur,so mistreated and mislead and without a doubt hazardous.
