My lens was delivered on a friday afternoon in a battered box. The plastic sleeve wrapping the lens was also crumpled and creased – it clearly wasn't factory fresh. The lens itself was full of condensation. Rang to complain straight away and was told the customer services manager would call me back. Two hours later I rang again as I hadn't heard anything. Was once more promised he would call me back. He never did.
Weekend closure of customer services meant I couldn't call again until Monday. Initially I'd decided to cancel the replacement order but subsequently changed my mind. I was promised a new lens would be delivered and the old one collected the following day. The original lens was duly collected Tuesday afternoon. However, by 5:00pm there was still no sign of my replacement. I called customer services to chase and was told they'd investigate and call me straight back. Didn't hear anything so called back just after 5.30 only to find out customer services were closed!
Overall I think the standard of service has been absolutely appalling. Have wasted an awful lot of time, and probably money given your 0870 telephone number, chasing this issue. I will certainly think twice about ordering anything from Calumet again.
