I shopped all over for a decent gravel or touring bike and couldn’t find anything worthwhile in stock. Campfire Cycling told me about their custom options and priced out a custom Salsa Fargo that had all the components I was looking for. I paid as much as I would have for a new bike that would still need tire, saddle, and handlebar upgrades. The end result was getting my dream bike at a decent price and not having to wait until 2024 for it to be in stock. I am also happy to know I can bring it back for reliable maintenance and help with outfitting the right bikepacking gear for trips in the desert.
