Subject: Urgent Review of Fraudulent Transactions on Capitec Account
To Whom It May Concern,
I am extremely disappointed with the service from Capitec Bank. Both of my children bank with Capitec, and on 13 November 2024, an amount of R3,500 was unlawfully deducted from their account. Despite reporting this incident, it has not been resolved, and we have yet to receive a refund.
Shockingly, today, 26 November 2024, a further R12,000 was deducted from the same account. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially considering that the first fraudulent transaction remains unresolved.
What is even more concerning is that within the past two weeks, three other people we know, who also bank with Capitec, have experienced similar issues. It is alarming that these fraudulent activities persist without proper resolution or prevention measures in place.
With the festive season approaching, this situation has caused unnecessary financial stress and frustration. I urge Capitec to prioritize this matter, resolve it promptly, and provide assurance that adequate security measures will be implemented to prevent such incidents in the future.
Please treat this matter as urgent. I look forward to your immediate response and resolution.
