Just over 4 months after purchasing a Capel dryer, model no. TDI4001, we received a notice from the company that the machine had an inherent defect which needed to be rectified. As a result the dryer had to be moved from its integrated space in our fitted kitchen. This was not an easy job and to avoid the risk of damaging our new and very expensive kitchen we preferred the kitchen fitter to remove and then reinstall the machine. In the event, Capel were asked whether they wanted to undertake the removal and reinstatement but did not reply. Although it was entirely due to Capel that the machine needed to be moved, the company has absolutely refused to reimburse all, or even part, of the cost which we have incurred. We consider this to be totally unreasonable and parsimonious. Given this unacceptable level of after sales service we will not be purchasing any Capel products in the future. We would certainly not recommend dealing with this company or its products. Date of experience: 01 May 2025
