With Caple sink, that glues under the worktop.
2nd day of use and now we have random colours stain spots, which can't be removed. We have noticed that this comes from anything that sits in the sink longer than few hours. Poor quality. Would never ever go for the Caple anymore. I mean this is expensive kitchen with such a bad quality sink, which is not cheap!
Me and my wife we are afraid to wash the dishes here anymore!”
“I wish I'd read these reviews first. Bought a kitchen and was recommended Caple. DON'T DO IT!!! Of the five appliances installed in April 2024, three were faulty, but stop me if you've heard this before...
We bought a grill / microwave and oven to sit one on top of the other. When our fitter was installing the grill / microwave he said it was the wrong one. We contacted Caple who said "Yes we know, we changed it for you (they didn't tell us). We changed it to match the oven." Erm...okay. So the fitter installed the oven and obviously it had a fault, so they replaced the oven with a different model?! So now we haven't got either of the two appliances we asked for. How's that for service?...
Lastly the 'qooker' type tap broke after six weeks, was fixed and broke again two weeks later. Last week received an email advsing that they could send another engineer but no replacement as they don't arrive until November...back to the kettle then...

“Had a CAPLE sink fitted ' terrible design in position of the WATERFLOW part, where the TAP is in direct line over the area' resulting in WATER constantly leaking inside the carcass unit" as the part that is supposed to prevent this is insufficient and badly designed. Have to use TAPE permanently”
“Avoid this company at all costs. Wine cooler has stopped working. It is less than 4 years old, but out of their 2 year warranty. It was chosen and fitted by our kitchen company and I had specified that I only wanted Neff/ Siemens or Bosch brands as I have had these before and like them. Never heard of Caple didn’t realise this is what I was getting immediately suspicious of the 2 year warranty but went ahead with it. The compressor on it has gone and was so hot it was a fire hazard. Caple wanted to send their engineer out at a very high cost to tell us that it is broken then wanted to sell us another wine cooler at a ‘discounted’ price. We now have a very expensive wine cupboard as we can’t switch it on. Rubbish customer service useless appliances. Stay clear. Surprised they are still in business.”

“We purchased a copper plated sink via our builders merchant. After only three weeks silver spots started to appear in the sink. Absolutely no harsh chemicals have been used in the sink. Their customer services turned this around and said it was our fault for putting harsh chemicals in the sink which we haven’t and with many other customers complaints it sits outside of their warranty. I only wish that I had checked their reviews before purchasing this expensive sink.”
“If I had choice would give 0 stars bought downdraft extractor product code DD912BK 90cm hood and product came with lots of damage and some screw damage on it looks like been used or someone tried to install previously and returned to company failed to accept any responsibility. Nick said as it was bought 3 months ago they won’t take any responsibility although it’s been just opened and should be brand review couldn’t install earlier as marble company only installed worktop recently. Seems to be refurbished sold as new reported as soon as taken out from box. Terrible customer service
Further to your message below I don’t have option to reply he spoke to you in front of me and you refused to do anything further said if it’s not working you can do partial refund why would I want partial refund for item not working
This is so badly damaged you should have replaced this I haven’t even moved in yet and this was unused still in box when we took out was like this and photos were sent straight away as soon as taken out from box
This is clearly not brand new product I have never come across any company sending new product showing this much damage stuck between company and dealer did nothing about it If dealing is fitting Kitchen its there responsibility to check why they are delivered as they have ordered them now I am stuck with all this damage on product and them saying I should have checked fitters opened during fitting as was awaiting for worktop to be installed. Pictures attached how can this be brand new come out from box like this damage around screw and all these lines drawn pictures taken as soon as taken out from box”
“Had a brand new washing machine delivered which leaked. 10 days before engineer visited. Was told and shown cracked drum and told that water was probably leaking onto motor. Day after tried customer service and was told they had not had the written report from the engineer and would contact me when that was received. Told they would then get another company to get in touch to arrange replacement. The machine was brand new and have been left for two weeks without a machine and still no date for replacement.”
“Dreadful, that's all I can say, had new dishwasher, hob, steam oven and oven, been in for 7 months, in that time, dishwasher broke down, engineer eventually turned up 4 weeks later, it lasted for another 2 weeks, we could not wait, in stead bought good make Miele much better machine.
Then the hob started to turn it's self off whilst cooking, once you restarted, would work again for short time, called the fault line, we have to supply the original receipt, serial number and so on, email all this to them, they contact the engineer, then contact us, I am guessing another 4 weeks until they turn up, with luck.
So within 7 months 2 of the appliances have broken, not good.
Would not recommend this brand, the back up is a long wait”
“Avoid at all costs. The first wine fridge we bought barely lasted 5 years. 2nd one purchased, thankfully from John Lewis was exactly the same Caple model rebranded. I purchased an extended warranty and hoped that we'd been unlucky with the previous purchase. Barely 4 years in and it has stopped cooling. John Lewis refunded us for the wretched thing and we also received the remaining part of our warranty cost. So we find ourselves in the ridiculous situation of having to purchase a 3rd wine fridge in under 10 years. What a joke! How this company are still in business is beyond me.”
“We reluctantly purchased an Island extractor from Caple as we had been unable to find another one in the right size and colour. We were having a completely new kitchen installed but avoided buying any other appliances from Caple having read many negative reviews, especially pertaining to their customer service regarding faulty/damaged appliances. We hoped our experience would be different, unfortunately not!
We had the extractor installed and once it was in situ it was apparent that the motor didn’t work and only the light came on. It took week’s for me to get anywhere with customer services and eventually an engineer came out to supposedly ‘repair’ the extractor hood. He was here for no more than 5 minutes and just told us ‘it’s knackered’.
After lots of confusion and miscommunication I was finally told that the appliance was going to be exchanged for a new one and that Caple were sending ‘Kaboodle’ to deliver and install the new and remove the old appliance.
There were numerous issues when Kaboodle visited to install the new extractor: they chipped the paintwork of the new appliance on installation and also caused damage to our new hob as they stood on the hob whilst installing the extractor!!
I complained yet again to customer services and all I was offered to resolve this situation was some touch up paint! Caple have to date failed to resolve the damaged hob as they won't accept that Kaboodle damaged it. They asked for me to provide a report on the damage (at my own cost) despite the damage being obvious as the hob doesn't ignite properly. When I questioned if they would accept that Kaboodle damaged it, if I provided a report, they failed to respond.
When I complained about the damage to the new extractor and to my hob their customer service team tried to blame the issue with the original extractor on the installation, but with no supporting evidence. They then stated that the full price of the original extractor should be chargeable to me because it was apparently an installation issue (despite me no longer being in possession of the first extractor). I have asked them to detail where this provision to charge me is within their terms and conditions and am still waiting a response.
Caple also (despite saying they didn't accept liability for damaging my hob) stated 'we can deduct the price of the hob from the amount you owe us for damaging our extractor'. Despite there being no contractual mechanism for them to charge me for an extractor unit (when it wasn't damaged on installation anyway) I agreed to have the price of the hob deducted from the extractor unit but made it clear that I would then own the extractor and that they would need to return it to my possession. I planned to sell the unit on, as in other correspondence they confirmed there was actually nothing wrong with the original unit, there was just some packing tape blocking the motor! Despite me accepting this offer and agreeing to pay for the initial extractor with the deduction of the hob value, their offer has not been fulfilled and I am still waiting a response as to why they have reneged on this.
I even escalated these issues to their MD to no avail.
Save yourself the money and hassle, do not buy from this company!!”
“Kitchen fitter waxed lyrical about Caple dishwashers so believed him. Today when the engineer I had to call out after seeing smoke billowing out from my integrated dishwasher and turning off the mains in my house - we saw the motor had completely burnt out after water had leaked internally onto the motor. Lucky there wasn’t a fire and I was home!”

“Do not buy Caple appliances- cheap they may be but dont last and customer service is dreadful.
Unfortunately our new build house had all Caple appliances in the kitchen. 25mths of being installed the fridge/freezer stopped working. As just out of warranty I thought i would contact Customer Services - they said they could arrange for engineer to call out but at a very steep cost. On contacting an independent engineer he said he wouldnt touch Caple appliances- not worth fixing.
Ended up buying a reliable make.
Now 6mths later our dishwasher has stopped working!!”

Both broke within the first year then broke again with same fault

“Had a new kitchen fitted August 2020. Had a Caple tumble dryer TDI4000, integrated. From day 1 of being fitted it was causing condensation warping the cupboard doors even when we left the door open a bit for ventilation. The kitchen fitters have replaced the door 4 times, in the end I said mo point keep wasting doors. Caple customer service would not arrange for someone to come and look they just said it shouldn’t be behind a cupboard door, but it’s sold as an inebriated tumble dryer. Also the drum not starting now, have to push the drum by hand first to start it. We have ordered a new tumble dryer now not Caple. There is a filter at the bottom on the front as well as in the door fluff gets everywhere cleaning after each load.
Also have a Caple wine cooler but I think this maybe failing the digital display seems to be failing and wine doesn’t feel as cold. Not happy with Caple products.”

We bought a new kitchen through our local MKM builders merchant who have been great throughout. We like all the Caple appliances which were all in gunmetal & wanted to go with a British made company, but unfortunately the fitter’s apprentice mislaid the template for the integrated washer door!
After numerous attempts to replace this template which is way bigger than an A4 piece of paper I might add! We have got absolutely nowhere with Caple. Our fitter did try also & was sent an A4 email of it which obviously is a shrunken version of it so renders it totally useless!!!
Even MKM have tried without success so we tried a further call directly to Caple themselves- again, to be VERY rudely told “it’s not our problem” & we don’t have a complaints department! So here we are almost 6months later & Caple couldn’t care less about our issue & our integrated washer still has no door over it!!!”
