Ordered a Alpine Type R (12D4) on Saturday and came on Tuesday. Fast shipping which is always a good thing. I have been a long life Alpine fan but unfortunately this will be the last Alpine Subwoofer I will buy. It can't handle proper power off the Alpine M12 amplifer. The coils start to smell straight away from the custom made ported box (to manual specification) and think the older models were much better made and could take the same power without too much of a struggle. It was very loud but prefer my Phoenix Gold Elite 2 subwoofer. Once you try quality, you won't go back. Such a shame.
