I was all set to purchase a 2000 Miata with around 33,000 miles but wanted to run a CarFax first. When I did, the report told me there was a lien against the vehicle. Instead, I bought a 2001 BMW Z3 when its CarFax report showed it was worth $1400 more than market value, based on mileage and maintenance records, and I bought it for less than market value! - Jim K.
