CARFAX was instrumental in helping me buy/lease my new car. I had originally thought of buying a certified used vehicle but after running the VIN through CARFAX, I found negatives about the car. At that point my husband and I decided it best to look at new vehicles. Although the used vehicle was warrantied, the CARFAX report showed accidents that had damage to vehicle and of course, it was fixed but better safe than sorry.
