CarFax was extremely helpful in aiding my decision to buy the truck I just purchased. Because it was used and there were multiple owners, the facts that my CarFax report provided allowed me to negotiate the price down well below KBB which in turn gave me excellent loan terms. (1.5% to be exact). I did some other things such as an 116 point certified inspection but had it not been for CarFax, I doubt I would have proceeded as far with the purchase. It gave me the confidence I needed to go to the next step.
