Thanks to CarFax we were able to save ourselves from possibly a lot of grief in the future. We bought a late model truck at an auction, it looked and ran really well and we were so proud of the "bargain". But when we returned home we did a CarFax check and found out the vehicle had 100,000 more miles on it than the odometer said. We contacted everyone involved with the sale of the vehicle and when we told them someone had ran the miles back according to the mileage documentation on the CarFax report and that it was a federal offense, they were very anxious to give us our money back without a problem. Had it not been for CarFax we most likely would not have caught the odometer change. Thank you CarFax and I will never be without you. Most importantly, we will check CarFax "before" we buy.
