I was rearended in my favorite car on a Friday. It was totaled out on Monday and the rental was mine on Tuesday. I ordered two 5 report deals from carfax. I thought two of the cars I saw on carfax were great. I got there and thanks to carfax mileage info, I was able to question the dealer as to why there was 40k difference on EACH vehicles mileage from just a few months ago. Needless to say, I didn't buy those. One vehicle had a clean carfax, high mileage but thanks to the report, I could tell that it was dealer maintained and in great working order. I test drove the truck, and that's the one I bought. I even used one of my other remaining reports for a friend. He found out that the guy "selling" the car was not only NOT the owner, but there was a major wreck that he didn't disclose. Thank you carfax!
