Dealership was trying to sell me a Lux model Passat, but the Carfax showed me it was a turbo sedan. Still bought the car, but paid the right price, saving me from getting ripped off and for thousands less than they were asking. Also saw how well the car had been taken care of with nearly every oil change and routine maintenance documented. Carfax completely changes car buying, gives you so much more confidence when shopping and dealing with salespeople. Would be foolish to do it without getting one.
