I had to but a car for my daughter over the last few days. I used Carfax directly on a couple of cars, and indirectly (paid by the dealer) on others. The car we bought had two owners (a four year lease and one more for eighteen months), had been regularly serviced, had a small rear-end accident but was back on the road in a couple of days, and had just got into the dealer the night before we found it. Other cars had not so good stories to tell.
