Carfax was a great first-pass resource for my recent used car purchase. I used the data from Carfax as well as data from free national and state databases to confirm there was nothing unusual with the car from a mileage, title quality, or emissions standpoint.
I strongly recommend pulling a Carfax report before buying a used car. If it checks out, have a thorough pre-purchase inspection completed by a professional you trust.
