My Jaguar was totaled by an 8 point buck weighing around 350 lbs. It was a complete surprise and the insurance gave me 20% less than I thought the car was worth so I was rather heart broken. The Jaguar XJ8 cost me no more than my Buick Park Avenue and I really enjoyed the car.
With less money than the car was worth, I shopped for a year for another Jaguar and found a mid-priced 2004 with 25,500 miles. In 11 years the car had averaged 2,300 miles per year, or 44 miles per week. I could not find another Jaguar with that low a mileage in the 2003-2008 Jaguar line and thought the mileage had to be wrong. Carfax verified the mileage and I purchased the vehicle.
Unbelievably, the local Jaguar dealer gave a passing grade to the car mechanically on their 35 point inspection list. Checked good condition on all items and I have a car that mechanically is about 2.5 years old, and the interior appears brand new. Thank goodness there is a way to verify mileage.
Worth the fee,
