I was interested in buying a 2001 Honda CRV with a little over 200k miles. Although it was immaculate, I was concerned about maintenance history - specifically the timing belt. The Carfax report showed that it had been changed but the waterline had not. As a result I was better prepared to negotiate a lower price to offset the cost of a new water pump.
