In May I was in search of a reliable used car for my daughter. I checked out several cars found on advertisements and at dealerships. In 4 out of 5 reports, although the sellers represented that the vehicle had no issues, CarFax showed me details such as accident reports, salvaged and/or problems with the title and in a couple cases, had been previously owned by rental agencies. Needless to say, CarFax was priceless and invaluable in giving me peace of mind when it came time to making my purchase.
