Using the CARFAX service is just as important in helping to make a buy decision as it is in helping to make the decision to not buy a particular vehicle. For example, I was looking to buy a used Mercedes E350. I obtained a CARFAX report which I had in hand when I went to inspect the vehicle in question. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the CARFAX report was accurate in every detail. Because of this, I knew I could make a decision based a facts provided by a reputable third party and did not have to rely on the sales pitch of an over zealous used car sales person. It is difficult to describe in words the confidence, comfort and peace this afforded me. In addition, because the CARFAX data was so complete and accurate, I was much better able to gauge the veracity of the salesman. I had never used CARFAX before, but I would certainly use it in the future. And I have already recommended its use to my daughter, grandchildren and friends. Thank you CARFAX
