When I purchased a vehicle 2 years back it was noted that the vehicle had been in a "Minor" accident. I understand what that meant so I purchased the car and had no issues with it. Upon trying to sell the vehicle several prospective buyers had checked Carfax and opted not to purchase due to that "Minor" accident several years earlier. So in affect it cost me additional time to sell my car but I learned an important lesson. People do take the Carfax reports very seriously. That being said I purchased my most recent vehicle and passed up on many good cars that had "Minor" accidents reported as it truly will affect my resale of that car in the future. The truth is a car with no accident history did not cost me any more than one with but will affect it's future resale.
