I was negotiating with a private party in Florida who said they had the car and would ship it to me in California once i put the payment in escrow. i ran carfax and found that the vehicle in question was sitting on a dealer's lot in Texas. i called the dealer and he said he was looking right at it. i'm sure i am not the first person they have tried to defraud in this manner!
