My wife went to a dealership and purchased a 2010 Chevy Camaro. I texted her to ask them for the carfax. The salesperson said no problem we have that and will share the data with her before signing the papers. That did not happen as they got her confused with other papers and programs and extended warranty talk. I purchased the full Carfax package and right away found that the reason the 4 year old car has 70,000 miles is it was purchased and used a a rental car. Other items raised red flags as the car was from Texas and neighboring states that have had severe storms the last few years. My advice is get the Carfax on your own and use that as a tool in determing if the vehicle is what you want. The dealer will not help with this if it shines a negative light on the pending purchase. Money well spent.
