Vehicle: 2013 Porsche Panamera Background: "Lost" in transition from LA, CA to Tucson, AZ Overview: Quick to sell Concerns: CarMax inspection failed to ID cracked windshield, proper oil level, memory settings failed, 5yr / 30k mileage required added $750 filters. Buyer to split $420 repaint rear panel given several scratches CarMax covered over. Summation: CarMax does not deal in high-end vehicles to the degree required to assure the buyer confidence said vehicle is free of "concerns." CarMax's specifications are stated in this case clearly do not equate to high-end maintenance (in part due to certification of mechanics and lack of specific tools). Rushed experience! Good news / bad news. Recommendation: Do not purchase vehicle that was "lost" in transit without a through understanding in writing, and do not take possession after dark!! Takeaway: Sales does not deal with purchaser after sale. Service is suspect as to follow-up. Had to make appointment with Porsche dealership as the CarMax service person left a message as opposed to calling AGAIN to support the NEW CUSTOMER. Said service agent's responses were not credible. General Manager responded to "returning said vehicle." Upon meeting NEW CUSTOMER stated "What is going on?" Really -- that is it! After numerous calls and two appointments with Service!
