CarFax markets itself as the "credit report" for cars. I found out the hard way! I bought a car with a good CarFax report then 2 years later when I tried to sell it, there were 2 damage reports from PRIOR to me purchasing the car. I contacted CarFax and they were no help, just saying they couldn't disclose who added that info to the CarFax report and would not remove it.
