Carfax saved me from buying a high mileage vehicle, listed as a low mileage vehicle. I went to buy a Tacoma. The owner said it only hadone 101k miles, however I ran the carfax and it showed 332k as the last know mileage.
I ran far, far from that deal. I then checked out an actual low mileage truck, which was verified by carfax and have been happy ever since.
