Carfax helped prevent me from purchasing 2 different disaster cars. The first was a 2006 Pontiac Solstice, in which I purchased a CarFax report 30 minutes before purchase to find out the car had frame damage, & 2 previous wrecks. The second car was a 2008 Saturn Sky in which the report revealed the car had been stolen at one point, had a salvaged Title, been wrecked 3 times. Needless to say, CarFax saved me!!!!
