After shopping around and considering numerous platform bed options, Carolina Leg Co. was the winner. Though I had never heard of the company prior to my search, its history and reviews convinced me to give them a try. Most importantly, the fact that the bed we purchased is custom made of poplar hardwood made the difference. Though coming in at a higher price point than it’s largely metal competitors, the bed is well made, assembly is straight forward, and it is STURDY. I did not trust the metal counterparts I considered from other companies to be trustworthy in their descriptions. Finally, customer service at CLC was excellent from order to assembly. Though we did have two of twenty-four bolts with stripped start threads, CLC was quick to send me 4 or 5 replacements via overnight express.. All in all, I would highly recommend CLC from my experience with this bed purchase.
