Whereby I have said poor I debated to put very poor. I will begin at the start. I cannot fail the salesman Jamie Reid for his excellent service,. We bought a car from Peter Vardy in August 2016 and Jamie was our salesman, everything ran very smoothly, so good that when I was looking for a car myself I went back and specifically to Jamie when I saw a Nissan Micra on the website. Jamie brought this car through from Edinburgh at short notice and I really liked it so I bought it on either Wednesday 29th or Thursday 30th March. The car was to be picked up the following evening as it was the last day of the month. The showroom was extremely busy as there was 80 plus cars going out that day and I was told to come around 6pm which I did. The hand over was done by Nicola Bonomy. She invited me into the car to go over the controls and in a short time I left with my new car. Once I was home I was disappointed with the valet job on the car, there was polish etc. left over it and in reflection I didn't look round the car before leaving. Within a day or 2 Nicola contacted me to get in touch urgently as she hadn't gone over the finance agreement, I phoned back and organised to go in, and commented to her that I wasn't very happy with the valet job to the car ,so I went into the car store for her to do the finance things. As we were doing this Nicola offered for the car to come back in to have the Valet job done again and I stress Nicola offered. It was organised for the car to come in on Friday 7th first thing in the morning and I would be contacted to come and collect. My husband and I brought the car in, so 2 cars to journey up so he could bring me home then he brought me back in to collect only to be told at 7pm that the car had not been done as 2 valeters phoned in sick. so we left with the car undone after sitting there all day. Nicola then said she would phone me on Monday 10th to make other arrangements. Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th came and went and no phone call, I hate when that happens someone says they will do something then don't do it !!!! So I phoned on Wednesday 12th to be told it was her day off. Eventually she contacted me on Thursday 13th (no apology) and said that the car was to come in on Monday 17th (Easter Monday) and that someone would collect it at 9.30 as it had to be in for 10am and that she would phone me on Saturday 15th to remind ME that this was happening and guess what no phone call on Saturday 15th. On Monday 17th I was up early for the car to be collected and no one showed at 9.30am. At 10.15 I got into my car and drove yet again to Peter Vardy in rather a fowl mood. I was shown to waiting area as I wanted to speak to someone face to face as I was now rather fed up with empty promises and my time being wasted. After some time I met Jamie Reid and he had no idea of what had happened so I explained all this to him. Nicola was doing a handover but I wanted to speak to her because I wanted an explanation from her as to why she promised me all that an never followed through. Nicola eventually came to see me and was extremely apologetic. She said her manager forgot to remind her to phone me on the Saturday and that they had forgot to come and pick up my car that day. She said she had been doing two jobs and under pressure. When I asked why she promised all this she said she really liked me and felt sorry for me therefore i have to ask the question what would have happened had she not liked me. I let her know how annoyed I was, let down and disappointed. She also said to me that she would organise a lift home for me and that my car could go in now that day . I told her no as I had wasted enough time and that I would like to enjoy my Easter Monday. Through all this Nicola made numerous promises as to shopping vouchers for me and she would also chase up voucher for purchase recommendation which I still never received. Jamie took this complaint in hand and is dealing with it now. I feel this has blown out of all proportion and the upset could have been avoided. I was happy with my car and just wanted the valet that Nicola suggested in the first instance done correctly. I hope this explains my review and i would award Jamie Reid 5***** for his excellent service. I would recommend him all the time thus why we went back to him its just a shame Nicola let the company down. This snowballed when it didn't have to.
