I bought a car from Cartime in June and have had nothing but problems since. Once they have sold you the car and made their profits on finance, warranties, and service packages, they will do everything in their power to avoid you.
The car was supposedly serviced before collection, but no evidence was provided and the issues I experienced suggest otherwise:
Clear coat peeling from all 4 alloy wheels
Rear bumper squeaking when driving, as if fitted incorrectly
Rear washer motor not working since day one
Brake pads squeaking within two weeks (which should have been flagged in a service)
When I tried to use the “10-Year Warranty” I paid £2.5k for, I was constantly told someone would call me back, but weeks went by with no progress. Eventually, I got the car booked in, only to be told parts needed to be ordered and I would have to rebook — wasting my time and a half day’s pay.
Weeks later, I was given another appointment for collection and repair, but nobody ever showed up and no cancellation notice was given.
In my experience, their warranty isn’t worth the paper it’s written on, and their customer service is non-existent. I am seeking legal advice.
