“Krep my car in 4 weeks for sat nav
Use 3 party car mechanic not approved garage or dealer
I paid 25K for Audi Q5 and just drive 1 week
People beware dont buy nothing from them”
Hi Kirk, thank you for your feedback. I can see that you reached out to us regarding the replacement of two tyres, which you had hoped would be covered by the warranty purchased two years ago. As tyres fall under general wear and tear, they are unfortunately not covered by any warranty product. This information can also be found in the terms and conditions of your agreement. We understand that unexpected costs can cause frustration, and we appreciate the inconvenience this may have caused. If you need any further guidance on your warranty package or assistance with anything else moving forward, please don't hesitate to let us know and we will be more than happy to help. Regards, Cartime
“What went wrong? Haha
Joke of a company, only car about MONEY.
Rejected my car well within my rights after finding 1.massive crack in the windscreen
2.sales lady told me it was bird poo on the side of the car, it was massive scratches
3.the steering? Nearly caused a collision on the motorway
4.wasnt fit for purpose as I needed big boot space
My own fault for not checking these things properly, but after having the car valet, the valeted said I had been lied to.. which yeah duh
Anyway I told cartime in which to there response was less than helpful, and nothing they can do
Told them I was rejecting the car, and told me they don’t have a cancellation policy in place
.. more lies
Btw all this happened within 5days of me having the car
Well within my legal consumer rights to reject
Just didn’t give a f*ck .. ‘Aftercare’ have no morals or personal values whatsoever
And the sales are just liars .. who somehow leave after a sale most times
Pathetic waste of energy
BELIEVE ALL THE BAD REVIEWS
You might think you’ve found your perfect car, give it a month .. you will regret it
Never come across a company who just want money and don’t care about you or your concerns”
“Just purchased a new car and couldn’t have had a better experience. I purchased through their finance and collected my car the same day. Would highly recommend.”
“This is the third time I've purchased from cartime and I cannot rate them enough. They took my old car in as part exchange and sorted out finance on my new car with lower monthly payments. Would highly recommend!”
“Where to start. Me and my partners experience with car time. I'm editing this review due to the aftercare and the sales team. Moncef el bouhmadi had us do a review there and then after the sale. We purchased the vehicle around ten months ago. After a few weeks it started to show problems with the clutch. We called up and was told it was to busy for them to check the problem. When we had taken the extra warranty out we was promised that any problems with vehicle would be dealt with in house and a courtesy vehicle would be arrange. Today I have been charged 95 pounds after taking the vehicle in for a service and asking them to look at the problem. I would stay away from this company for your future vehicle”
Hi Shane, we are sorry to read your review as this is certainly not reflective of the service we strive to offer. We have looked into this and can see that you are currently liaising with our service team who are working to come to a resolution with you. If there is anything you require in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us at advice@cartime.co.uk and we will endeavour to assist. Regards, Cartime.
“AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I have percervered for 18months now with this company. I spent over £30,000 on a vehicle for a fault to show within weeks of me owning it. Repairs were carried out... repeatedly. The car has allegedly had 3 new DPFs, a whole engine rebuild, a new Turbo and is still showing a fault. Cartime have now run out of ideas and referred me to Landrover who advised me this is a DPF issue. I have repeatedly asked for a straight swap for a new vehicle and each time I end up being placed with the sales team who think I'm there to spend more money?? The last time this happened my vehicle has apparently halved in value and is now only worth £15,000 - despite their forecourt prices still saying around £30,000. The company are not affiliated with the Motor Ombudsman (as I discovered when I tried to complain) which as previous people have stated screams suspicious. I have received no financial compensation from the finance payments I make each month, to insurance costs, to taxi costs etc - despite Cartime and other garages probably having my car just as much as I have. All I have requested from the start is a vehicle of the value I spent, that is fit for purpose and works. This has repeatedly been refused. At what point will Matt Kay hold his hands up and stop pumping money into endless repairs? To add to this - my vehicle (currently in Landrovers garage AGAIN) is due to fail it's MOT in 2 days. So my insurance will be void. The nightmare with Cartime never ends!!”
In reply to your recent review, we have now fully investigated. We completely agree with some of the issues and empathise with your circumstances, although some of the comments are a little inaccurate. To hopefully try and explain, we confirm that your vehicle did suffer from an AdBlue fault within 2 months of the vehicle being delivered. We believed this to be developing at point of sale and therefore actioned the repair at no cost to yourself. This was the right action to take to rectify the problem, sadly within a month the vehicle did suffer a DPF fault. DPF faults can be common when vehicles are not run as per the manufacturer guidelines, given you were still within 3 months of purchase we then replaced the DPF through the Landrover dealership at no cost to yourself. The vehicle then ran fault free for over 12 months and over 10,000 miles, the vehicle has sadly suffered an unrelated fault with the turbo, auxiliary heater, its control unit, and the reduction pump. These were all replaced under your extended warranty at no cost to yourself although you had owned the vehicle over 18 months and driven over 10000 miles. We fully understand the frustration and inconvenience any repair or breakdown can cause. We ourselves wouldn’t expect to see these issues on a 3- to 4-year-old Landrover with such low mileage. Hence why we have involved the main dealer in any repair we carried out. Throughout the process, we have worked to resolve the matter and address your concerns at no cost to you, and we remain fully committed to doing so within the terms of the extended warranty you purchased. As you purchased the extended warranty this has given you the added protection and cover for items repaired to date. We do deeply regret any distress this has caused and under the terms of the warranty remain dedicated to finding a solution and appreciate your patience. Next Steps: As you know, we’ve now appointed a court-approved independent inspector to investigate the matter. This step was taken after the vehicle went through a 12-month period without issues, and because DPF-related problems, especially in Land Rovers, are often linked to driving style and maintenance. Land Rover has specific requirements for DPF maintenance, and when these aren’t followed, recurring issues can arise. Once we receive the independent specialist's report, we will be bound by their findings. If it’s determined that we are responsible, we will absolutely make things right for you. Our goal remains to resolve this matter fairly and promptly, and we will keep you updated on the next steps.

“be weary of fake investment companies . i was conned by this company and intervention by Againstcon.com made tracking and getting back my money very easy”
“AVOID bought a car from salesman paul owen at cartime and on collection day the car wasn't really presented as expected but nothing a trip to my local valeter wouldn't sort but something you shouldn't have to do when buying a new used car.. I also got told they'd lost the spare key but not to worry as a replacement had been ordered. After many phone calls and emails I haven't received the spare key and just being told that Paul Owen doesn't work there anymore or is off that day and they will look into it and ring me back, which never happens. Its just a load of dodgy carsales men under 1 roof. I for sure won't be using cartime again or recommend to anyone.”
“Avoid CarTime.
Beware of this garage.
Car time sold a car with too many issues which was really hard for me to find out on test drive. I bought discovery sports, cost me £30k including warranty and service plan.I’m trying my best to explain all the issues below:
1. The Car was sold with roughly 95% DPF blocked. DPF blocked warning signs came on just after few weeks of buying the car. Car time sent my car to few different places to find the problem as they couldn’t find anything. One of the garage was in proper jungle and it’s called Steve Parker in Rochdale and they advised to replace the DPF.I was so much worried as the 1st MOT Failed on emissions. Finally Car time replaced the DPF but they got USED DPF from scrap yard which a dealer should not do.Dealer must always use new part.
Even one day one of the technician took my car in his house in Burnley for overnight. I tracked my car and found it.However, I did not say anything that time as long as my car runs fine but I wasn't very happy on repair. Altogether it took 2/3 months to fix this issue.
2. The Car was sold with Timing chain problem. I heard noise from engine when I did test drive but I wasn’t familiar with that noise. I thought the noise is quite normal but Few months later the noise became more louder. I had contacted with AA recovery and recovery took the car to Cartime and technician found the timing chain is about to failed. Car time contacted Warranty company (RAMP) but Ramp saying that they cover failed components. As the car is still drivable, they can’t authorities the repair. I called ramp and had long discussions. Basically Ramp wants the timing chain to be failed or snapped and then they will cover but I couldn’t make them understand that if timing chain snapped while I m driving with my kids on motorway, can you imagine the consequences. My whole family might die. But I feel like I’m taking with robot. Reply is the same that we only cover failed component.
However, I paid to Car Time (£1180) to repair the timing chain but again Car Time did dodgy repair. Different Kind of engine noise came one week later. Now car time found injector wasn’t sealed properly. It took another 2/3 months to fix this but the problem hasn’t been solved fully. Now engine oil leaking. Went back to car time. Now they found timing chain cover gasket is leaking. Again 2/3 months to fix. After that I feel the car is struggling to change gear( jerking when changing gears, engine shaking, steering wheel vibrating). Went back to car time and they couldn’t find the problem and sent my car to a garage called THAMESIDE TRANSMISSION. That garage found engine oil leaking from top of the engine and as the car timing chain was changed by car time, THAMESIDE TRANSMISSION doesn’t want to touch the car. Cartime garage completely destroyed my car engine. I asked few staff members to provide me owner email address but no one had braved.
I will never recommend CarTime.I’m planning to take legal action but all I can say ignore Cartime.
Thanks for reading such a long reviews.”
“Bullies. Sold a car with many defaults. Car went back several times and came back making the same noises. Scratched car also, sold my number plate, I've incurred costs to diagnose vehicle. It goes on ........... now they want 981 pound to cancel deal so that's a cost to me of 1600 and no car”
