I purchased this flap in Aug 2015 after reading a few reviews online.
The actual dog flap seems to be of a solid construction but time will tell. One thing that is an improvement on my last dog flap is the quietness, this flap is very quiet and closes well.
The biggest problem was cutting the hole in the door. You use the actual internal section of the door as a template but then have to cut 10mm outside of the line, not easy to do.
If a paper template to the correct size was included it would save a lot of time, and give a much neater result.
