The cat flap does its job well and in most ways I am very pleased with it. One small problem is that it is fastened to the door with only two bolts, one on each side. As a result the external part of the cat flap which supports the scanner feels quite flimsy and the scanner wobbles up and down. I overcame this by securing the top of the external part with a small metal bracket attached to the door. It was not necessary to cut any holes in the cat flap its self to do this.
