We have ordered Chesapeake Crab cakes (jumbo and minis) for many years. While my husband and I still enjoy them more than most others we’ve tried, we are disappointed that the quality has diminished over the last few years, while the prices have not. Due to overfishing (?), inflation (?), labor costs, (?), I don’t know, but they are not what they used to be. They have far less lump meat, and more filler than in the past. While the flavor is consistent, the quality and amount of crab is not.
