Box arrived as a gift from a friend. Both cheese's melted and one with the wax damaged leaked over the box. An ice pack the size of mobile phone totally defrosted. I asked to return the complete box and asked them to send a full replacement box, they came back with the offer to replace the one of the cheeses and send me empty box to replace the damaged box - which I declined. Customer service emails consisted of long lists of chuckling cheese company processes, storage temperatures in their storage unit and postage process, and ensured me they feel their cheese is safe to eat. I told them clearly that I will not be eating that cheese that has melted and is dripping out of a wax seal. No further email replies received from their customer service team. Due to Chuckling cheese poor customer service and my unwillingness to eat melted cheese and damaged cheese. I will be disposing of the item in food waste bin. A shame, what was initially a wonderful birthday surprise turned out to be disappointment all around. I acknowledge items get damaged in transit, but the ultimate disappointment was the poor level of customer service from Chuckling Cheese Company staff. Generic replies and a company who obviously do not value their customers and the quality of the product they sell. The outcome of my lovely friend spending her hard earned cash for this gift from Chuckling Cheese Company is I am unable to enjoy my birthday gift with the giftee and friends. My advice is read the reviews before using the Chuckling Cheese Company and made your own decision.
