“They gave a delivery date but 4 days later they haven't even picked goods never mind despatched them. Did respond to email saying they will contact me when goods have been sent to despatch team.
Don't believe their delivery promises.”

“I ordered 9 items with this company and when the delivery arrived the box was all battered and taped together ( see photo ) the items were part of a christmas pickle and cheese hamper for one of our friends - there was one item missing and when I reported this to company they asked me to send them pictures of the contents - I advised that they were part of a christmas hamper to a pickle lover friend of ours which we delivered to our friends (minus a jar of pickles) - it seems I am now in a stalemate situation with them - they won't resolve this because I can't send them a picture of the contents that I no longer have in my possession - they even asked me to ask our friend to open his christmas present in order to have a picture of the contents - how ridiculous - I can't even see what this would achieve we all know the contents and I can't take a picture of a missing item for goodness sake ! If this is how they conduct themselves over a £5 missing item the they can keep the pickles but on principle I will never buy from them again.”
“Delivery arrived damaged. X 2 leaking jars of pickles out of X 5. box was covered in vinegar. Both jars button on top of lid popped when pressed therefore suggesting items had been tampered with. Disposed of box and items immediately. When i made complaint i was advised nothing could be done as photos were required. Use this company at your own risk , but i would recommend you avoid at all cost .”
“Ordered 6 truckles, waited and waited only days later that the order was not available. Requested refund which was agreed but never materialised. 9 days later PayPal refunded. Totally unprofessional by Chuckling Cheese. I'm not chuckling I can assure you.”

“Reading all these appalling reviews I felt I had to log my customer experience with Chuckling Cheese. I haven't given them 5 stars as I have had substitutions on a couple of occasions, but have been more than satisfied with delivery , quality and value of everything I've had.
I've ordered on numerous occasions [latest received 23/03/24], so feel I can speak with some justification. I will certainly order from them again.”

“I’d placed an order on 11/12/23 for special delivery on 22/12/2023 (in time for Christmas) 22/12/23 received an email to say my ordered is being prepared for delivery via ‘van delivery’. We’re now on 27/12/23 and I haven’t received my order, an apology or any update. I’d assumed being local to the warehouse, inhouse couriers would deliver my order rather than a 3rd party, which is understandable. Rang on 27/12/23 as this was the first day open after Christmas, to again receive no update, no apology or an expected delivery date. I was given two options a refund or to wait for the delivery. However, with no expected delivery date, no apology and 3 Christmas presents not received, how is that deemed an acceptable resolution. Customer service and warehouse operatives work at the same location, yet no one can seem to make sense of where my order is or when I will receive my order. I would spend your money on companies that will actually fulfil your order in the time scale THEY provide you with.”
“Awful company. I ordered 3 ciders and was sent 2 ruby beers and a stout and told that they reserve the right to substitute items. The recipient does not drink beer! Absolutely shocking customer service. Please avoid. I wish I had read reviews before ordering.”

“I ordered Christmas presents from the Chuckling cheese co as I have been impressed in the past.
This time my parcel was thrown by the courier over a 7ft gate which damaged the goods. Customer service has been poor and I would not recommend after this ordeal .”

It was 2 days late and my cheese queen wasn't a cheese queen when it arrived, the heart shaped cheese was missing and a crappy bit of red Leicester was in its place. They make basic "Promises" (their actual words) about delivery dates and then don't even do the bare basics to even try and keep their own promises to you, ie - don't even bother to dispatch!
Customer service is incredibly poor, bordering on basic ignorance, arrogance and a complete and utter lack of humanity.
