“Scammers! Don't deliver items and then you cannot contact customer service! I still have no goods or refund.
I brought for a special birthday and it never arrived! So embarrassing for me as it makes me look like I've forgotten the birthday!”
“I ordered Christmas presents from the Chuckling cheese co as I have been impressed in the past.
This time my parcel was thrown by the courier over a 7ft gate which damaged the goods. Customer service has been poor and I would not recommend after this ordeal .”

They make basic "Promises" (their actual words) about delivery dates and then don't even do the bare basics to even try and keep their own promises to you, ie - don't even bother to dispatch!
Customer service is incredibly poor, bordering on basic ignorance, arrogance and a complete and utter lack of humanity.

“Wish I'd checked out the reviews before ordering.
I put in a first order of over £30 and after emailing them about it being a birthday present we settled on the delivery date of the 20nd July. They contacted emailed me at 4pm on the day it was supposed to have been delivered, saying an item in my order was out of stock and to pick another cheese. I replied back asking why my order wasn't out for delivery and stating again this order was a birthday present. Received a reply this morning (21st) saying my order has been confirmed and I'd get a dispatch email. They totally ignored me asking why my order wasn't delivered on the 20th.
I replied back this morning again asking why it wasn't delivered yesterday on the agreed date and have received no reply or a dispatch email. Ive also messaged on FB. I'm so glad I decided to wait on ordering for myself. Its my son in laws birthday tomorrow and it doesn't look like the order will get there in time.
I do not recommend this company and I definitely won't be putting in any future orders if this is how they treat customers.

“What a horrible customer experience! I have ordered 3 cheeses for a gift to someone, the order arrived and when I opened the box, it was completely wrong. I have messaged them on the website, no answer. Sent an email, no answer. Sent another email chasing and the answer was: "Thank you for your email, unfortunately we had to make some substitutions as we are out of stock of the Charcoal Cheddar requested for your order. Apologies for any inconvenience caused." What? So nobody has contacted be in advance to ask if I wanted any substitutions and what I would like instead. I ordered one thing, and received something else completely different and they expect me to be happy with it. So I asked them for a full refund and to collect the cheeses back, they offered me a 50% refund to keep something that I didn't order. Of course I don't want to keep something I didn't order, the order was a gift and it was a specific cheese. But no response anymore. Disgusting customer service. Awful customer experience. I have purchased from them for a few years, and for sure this was the last time.”
“Absolutely dumbfounded by this company…was so off to a good start! Customer service shocking! If not rude! Did not help at all, with a problem we had with one item, Spent a fortune too! Was a regular…not anymore! Unacceptable not to help us get it sorted after repeatedly sending pictures messages emails that they just didn’t respond too…so much so we gave up! “I’d placed an order on 11/12/23 for special delivery on 22/12/2023 (in time for Christmas) 22/12/23 received an email to say my ordered is being prepared for delivery via ‘van delivery’. We’re now on 27/12/23 and I haven’t received my order, an apology or any update. I’d assumed being local to the warehouse, inhouse couriers would deliver my order rather than a 3rd party, which is understandable. Rang on 27/12/23 as this was the first day open after Christmas, to again receive no update, no apology or an expected delivery date. I was given two options a refund or to wait for the delivery. However, with no expected delivery date, no apology and 3 Christmas presents not received, how is that deemed an acceptable resolution. Customer service and warehouse operatives work at the same location, yet no one can seem to make sense of where my order is or when I will receive my order. I would spend your money on companies that will actually fulfil your order in the time scale THEY provide you with.”
“Item I ordered was a birthday present. It was 2 days late and my cheese queen wasn't a cheese queen when it arrived, the heart shaped cheese was missing and a crappy bit of red Leicester was in its place. They then hid behind disclaimers for everything,,, I was dissatisfied and my mum I could see was disappointed nice.... She's 78 thanks chuckling cheese!!”
“Terrible experience. Evri “Next Day” failed to deliver twice last week and so cheese was melted and the whole parcel was soiled. Father’s Day gift ruined! Then customer service started haggling over a refund. Shocking! Avoid Chuckling Cheese Co and shop with a proper business.”
“If I could give 0 stars I would. I contacted them multiple times in early December when i received the package with a damaged box and damaged products inside. I had to go through not on the high st to eventually get hold of them (after they ignored my 3 emails and 2 voicemails). They offered a replacement empty cardboard box for the packaging with no acknowledgement of terrible customer service or damaged product inside. Still arguing with them currently. Ridiculous. Terrible. Dont care about customers. Avoid at all costs”

I ordered two virtual pub gifts, I had an email saying it had been dispatched followed by another a few days later saying it would be late. I finally received an email saying sorry, item maybe lost, apply for a refund.

I contacted this company to first be told, refer to card put through your door? What card?
Phoned again to be told, forward all emails regarding this which I duly did. They then sent me an email pic of my front door in October, no card present, (gets better) with another pic of a box in a warehouse in November in Lincoln which supposedly I’d collected at 7.52 on a Saturday with a completely different name!!! Also, I live in berkshire… do the geographical chuckling cheeses…
No one but the poor assistant on the phone would talk to me.., shocking customer service, I am livid”

Ordered goods and arranged a deliver, it appears that they allow you to order even if they don’t have the goods in stock. Awaited my delivery, didn’t turn up called and asked where my goods were, to be told they didn’t have 1 item. Would have been nice for you to call and advise that…. 3 calles later and still no goods”
