Yesterday I went to clicks at Villageview on Van Burren.To buy my face wash ,suppliment and lotions.When I was asked for my clicks card.I mentioned that I dont have the physical card with me but I know the clicks card number off by heart.
Upon paying I asked to redeem my points.I was told no because I dont have the physical card.There is no proof that this is my card.
I asked why would I bother knowing someon'es card number off by heart?I use this number so often at Engen and Clicks.I asked if I can verify my details by saying the full name ,address ,contact number and email address on the account.I was told no
I even confirmed my cash back balance as I had checked it while I was at work before going there.
My question now is say my card is lost or stolen and gets picked up by someone.They will be more legible to use it more than me because they holding it physically,but yet I have all the details on it?This DOES NOT MAKE SENSE
How is this preventing fraud or scams?This is not bullet proof.I was so annoyed and dissappointed,as I have started that clicks back in 2012.
With such changed.Please put a notice with disclaimer somewhere in the store.Please be reasonable if someone is willing to verify details please consider that.
