I ordered the claw-proof velvet covers and overall I like it a lot. It’s a really nice green color that looks great with my wood furniture. I will say that the “velvet” material is not very velvety, but it does look nice, and is comfortable to sit on (my cats, in particular, love it). Unfortunately, I put the new covers on only three days ago and one of my cats has already managed to put little holes in it. My little monsters are very talented destroyers for what it’s worth, and these covers are definitely more resilient than the original ikea material, but claw-proof it is not.
