I have had a Karlstad sofa for 5 years, and a cat for 3 years. The cat has just absolutely decimated the original cover on my Karlstad, which I swear must have been made specifically to appeal to claws. Even if I trimmed my cat's claws, he could still rip into it! After looking at giant holes and escaped stuffing for years, I decided to research claw-proof covers. Although this cover was quite pricy and took about 6 weeks from order to receipt, it was SO WORTH IT. The cover fits snug and actually makes the sofa look even better than when I originally bought it! I love my cat, but watching him attempt to scratch this cover and then immediately walk away with disappointment on his face was SO satisfying. Ive already had to spot clean it twice too and it cleaned right up. 100% would recommend this to anyone, especially if your pet has annihilated your sofa like mine did.
