The Tarpon Springs FL Arby’s is one of a few near me but the one I consider my go-to place. It's always clean and friendly. Recently I had a minor issue when I ordered a BOGO deal online for in-store pickup. I ordered two of their regular roast beef sandwiches, but I wanted them to place the meat from both sandwiches on one - the equivalent of a double - since I'm trying to cut down on bread. Unfortunately, the young lady at the counter told me she could not do that because I didn't order a double but rather two regular sandwiches. Now mind you, I wasn't asking for anything extra. The amount of meat on a double sandwich is equivalent to two single sandwiches. Actually, the restaurant was benefiting because they would keep the two slices of bread which I did not want. She wouldn't budge so I asked to speak to the store manager. After a few minutes, a gentleman came out, I explained the situation, and he instructed the employee making the sandwiches to prepare mine in the way I wanted it. Later on I received an email asking for a review of my experience, and I was honest in that review in explaining what had happened. To my surprise, the next day I received a call from Chris who identified himself as the general manager. He wanted to know more details about my experience to help him identify the employee involved so he could take corrective action. I gave him the information he requested, and he assured me that it would not happen again. He said my request should have been honored without any pushback and to make up for my less than stellar experience, he offered me a free double upon my next visit, which I received. Even without Chris' intervention, my difficulty in having my order made as requested would not have kept me from continuing to be a patron of this establishment. I am heartened, however, that management reads the reviews and takes them seriously. I'm sure the matter has been resolved and it will not occur again, even though it was a minor issue. I do want to commend this location overall and especially the management team.
