When we went to claim for minor damage to my car and a third party vehicle which was essentially superficial body work, One Call were frankly not up to the job. We had to go through three separate agents to make the claim. Promises to call back didn’t happen and it took from the Saturday to the Tuesday to be able to submit my photographic evidence. I then went on holiday because I was still awaiting confirmation of the claim. The day I returned, I got straight back onto one call. Having been on the phon3 for 4 hours, I was eventually referred to their repair agent but despite promise of a call back…..again it never happened. Two days later again I called. This time eventually I wastold my nearest repair garage was 25 miles away in Sheffield. Despite it being perfectly driveable, the first repair garage I spoke to saying it was less than two days work, an agent came 5 days later put my car on a trailer and took it away. I got a poor quality courtesy car and then had to wait nearly 4 weeks to get it back again! Yes One Call is cheap….but that’s because they have skimped on the resources to process claims and make repairs quickly and efficiently. It must have cost them 10 times the value of the repair to process and undertake my repair and it took a month when it should have taken two days. I have not renewed. Basically this company may be good at taking your money, but it is utterly hopeless at processing your claim. I would recommend them to anyone wanting insurance.
