For starters being hounded with emails and calls since the policy started (literally 2 days ago) I've now uploaded my driving licence twice and when I log into the portal it's asking me for them AGAIN. I've been called today and told my excess is £600 which is absolutely not what I set it at on the price comparison website. I've then been 'sold' an ancillary to reduce my excess & the agent kept reiterating something about a courtesy car - which I paid extra for the benefit initially! My first impression of you as an insurer is poor to say the least. I am employed as a senior claims negotiator for Admiral Insurance and whilst you were slightly cheaper than me taking insurance through work, by the time you've tried to add on an additional £10.64 for reducing my excess I would have been better off going with work! I would also like to point out that you weren't the cheapest on the price comparison website but I went with you due to your almost 5 star rating. When I asked about cancelling the Policy I was told I would not only have to pay the £63 deposit (which I've already paid) but £50 odd cancellation fee PLUS 2 days worth of cover. So in total to cancel today for 2 days worth of cover I would be looking at almost £150?? The agent then went to ask a manager if they could reduce the fee down to £6.72 per month extra for the reduction in excess so I'm still not really any better off. To top it all off I found the agent rude, unempathetic & repetitive - clearly only interested in selling me the ancillary!!! all in all I am sorry I insured with you now to be truthful . let's hope I never actually need you for a claim as one can only imagine how poor the service is.
