I recently upgraded my Godfrey Sweetwater pontoon with the 7.6oz SunDura bimini top and couldn’t be happier. The quality of the canvas is excellent, thick, durable, and water-resistant without feeling overly heavy. The aluminum frame with the 1" square tubing feels sturdy and well-made, and everything lined up perfectly during installation. The boot cover fits snugly and keeps everything protected when the top is folded down. We’ve had a few windy afternoons and some light rain, and the top held up perfectly, no flapping, no sagging. The SunDura fabric also does a great job blocking the sun and keeping the seating area noticeably cooler. Overall, it looks great, performs even better, and feels like a big upgrade from the stock bimini that came with the boat. Highly recommend this setup for anyone looking to replace or upgrade their pontoon’s shade system.
