My Cricut Explorer 2 is 4 months old, already it quit scorching. Called customer service and they had me try a few things and agreed it was not working and would send me a replacement part. This was Tuesday. They said, I should have it by Friday or Monday. It’s now Thursday and I have not received it and I need it to finish a project I need for Sunday. While the tracking shows it’s held up somewhere, which is not Cricuit’s fault, I fault them for not mailing out parts for machines that are still under warranty by Priority Mail. They mail it the least expensive way and that is not fair!! I see so many problems with the Cricut and a F rating with the Better Business Bureau is very concerning!! Another thing that is concerning is that if your machine is under warranty and you need a replacement, they send you a refurbished one. I asked if I get a refurbished one, does my warranty start again with the receipt of the refurbished one? The answer is no. I think this practice needs to be investigated by The Attorney General’s Office. If I do need a replacement and they send me a refurbished one without an extended warranty, I will be filing a complaint.
