My experience with Cruse Bereavement Support has been nothing short of distressing. Seeking support after the loss of my grandmother, I was met with shocking insensitivity from a volunteer who used distressing language and actively discouraged me from seeking help from Cruse, instead suggesting another organisation. This was completely inappropriate and made an already difficult time even harder.
I lodged a formal complaint and was assured an investigation would take place within 14 working days. Ten months later, I had heard nothing. When I followed up, I discovered the person handling my complaint had left, and my concerns had seemingly been ignored. The complete lack of communication and accountability is appalling.
Cruse claims to support the bereaved, yet my experience has been the opposite. I strongly urge anyone seeking compassionate care to look elsewhere, as this organisation has demonstrated nothing but indifference and incompetence.
