Unfortunately, my visit to Cult Furniture’s showroom left me thoroughly disappointed and ultimately led me to take my business elsewhere. Upon arriving at the showroom, I found both staff members entirely disengaged — glued to their screens and unapproachable. I had specific questions regarding chair colours to match my dining table, but the assistance I received was minimal at best. Despite the website indicating the chairs were in stock, I was informed that this availability does not apply to the showroom. I asked if I could purchase two chairs to take home and colour-match, and was willing to return them within 24 hours. However, because the showroom was going to be closed for the following 48 hours, this somehow became my problem. Even though no customers would miss the chairs during that time, no flexible solution was offered. What concerned me most was the suggestion that I pay for the chairs in cash only — no card, no invoice, no audit trail. The proposed arrangement was that I pay the full amount in cash and return the chairs on Wednesday — essentially the same as leaving a deposit, but with the added requirement of returning them in 24 hours, despite the store being closed for two days. This inconsistency was baffling. When I proposed a bank transfer for transparency and accountability, the manager declined and insisted on cash. This insistence on a cash-only transaction, especially in a professional retail setting, felt both unorthodox and uncomfortable. The overall experience — from the unhelpful staff, the inaccurate stock information, to the troubling and inflexible payment suggestion — left a very poor impression. I have since placed my order with the competitor, who offered a far more professional, customer-friendly, and transparent service. Would not recommend based on this experience
